Lê Phạm's art practice explores memory, nostalgia, and the emotional resonance of everyday life. Her work often begins with reflection on small, familiar momentsshared meals, conversations with loved ones, solitary walks, and quiet routines—which are revisited and reimagined through painting.
Influenced by the concept of the “infraordinary,” a term used by writer Georges Perec to describe the unnoticed details of daily life, her work focuses on the subtle experiences that quietly shape identity, relationships, and emotional memory.
Working primarily with acrylic on found objects, surfaces, and pieces of furniture, she creates artworks that exist alongside everyday life rather than solely on gallery walls. By integrating painting into domestic objects and environments, her practice blurs the boundary between art and lived experience, inviting viewers to rediscover the significance of the ordinary.
